A great book on John Martin, the mechanic whose apparatus commanded and still commands great prices. The book has a small biographical part about Martin, then concentrates mostly on his creations, on the effects Mr. Taylor bought from him or acquired in later years, their mechanical precision and why they are so good. The book also contains a good number of colour pictures of the apparatus and blueprints for some of them. It is a very lovely book, well written and well produced (altough "in-house"). Very good!
