Marco's Comments:
These are two books, one of text and the other a classifier with pictures of programs of - mainly - The London Coliseum, with description of various acts from the 1920s to the 1950s. H. Stanley had seen many of these performers, most of which were magicians, but he also talks about other artists (singers, mimics, etc.). The two books get easily separated and the pictures are sold individually, so to have them both is quite hard. Stanley also talks about Chefalo and gives a picture of the front of the theatre where he was working, but doesn't say anything I don't already know. Harry Stanley was planning to publish a second volume of reminiscenses, but this never materialized. The books have Faust's bookplates, which are quite nice.
