A sort of dictionary of famous magicians and important magic terms, with short biographies and references. Sadly, the book is littered with errors, from dates to the biographical data. I haven't read it all (it's a reference book), but almost all the entries I perused have some error. However, it is a handy reference on French magicians and French magic.
