Marco's Comments:
From John Fisher's Auction 25/03/2010 - lot 335. The book contains some ephemera about Don Alan and a L&L catalog advertising the book. However, it is basically a transcript of Don's performance on the Stevens tape and explanation of his act from the tape, plus a collection of old tricks published in magazines in the fifties/sixties and transcripts of two conversations. The tricks performed by Alan are very good and very well structured, but you will need to read the book while watching the DVD/VHS of the performance to appreciate the timing and the power of the magic. Some of Alan's jokes are good but a bit old. His presentations are very good, but a book was not necessary to preserve... the tape was enough.
