Notes for Peter Samelson's lecture at the MacMillan 2008. Three tricks explained: the burn and restored napkin (excellent handling and presentation), "New York Transpo" (also in Theatrical Close-Up), a card routine which Peter thinks it's very good but, personally, left me cold, and an excellent "Ring in Box" effect that has been studied so well that's almost impossible to better. A couple of theoretical essays as well. I think this is one of the best sets of lecture notes I've ever encountered, with two tricks to go straight in my working repertoire.
