Marco's Comments:
From the library of Stanley Collins, with Collins' signature. Book that contains a number of stage effects devised by the clever Nikola, some with methods he actually used, some with discarded methods. The book shows some foxing throughout and the dustjacket has some small tears, otherwise it is in good condition. The book contains the trick "mental photography" for which I have part of Nikola's original apparatus. Some of the material is EXCELLENT, with some original ideas and methods. Many tricks require special apparatus to be built, and are very detailed on how to manufacture them. Most of them are for stage and quite "old fashion", but the principles described by Nikola are excellent. For example, a great method to make a rabbit vanish while wrapping it up in newspaper or - my favourite - a great routine with a necklace, which could be adapted for storytelling. From John Fisher' auction, lot 593.
