Interesting book, by Pietro Micheli, the winner of the first edition of the Roxy Award, on the lives of some magicians in England in the 18th century. The amount of new information presented is staggering and the research on these artisted has been huge. The author has material on a second volume, about the magicians not present in this one (Jonas, Rea, etc.) which I hope may come out soon. This is going to become a reference book on that period.
