Marco's Comments:
Rare book by Jasper Maskelyne on the history of his family. Unfortunately, the dustjacket is quite damaged and the book has some foxing on the edges. Said that, it's still a rare book, although not really accurate historically.
After reading it, I have to say that I enjoyed it: the part about JN is quite accurate, while the "recent" years is less so. A number of interesting facts about the family are expressed in this book, including various details about their participation in the movie industry. The author reveals that De Kolta's original chair (actually, the one used by Charles Bertram at Maskelyne's) is shown in a movie with Gracie Fields.
