Book containing the long-lost memories of Adelaide Herrmann, Alexander's wife, and her articles, but not a critical biography of the performer. The book is very interesting as it presents many facts that are not widely known and gives a good impression of the character of Alexander Herrmann. It is in many parts very eulogistic and the truth is bent a little in Mme. Herrmann's part, but it's a pleasant read. Interesting the articles about the business between Adelaide and Harry Clark, the manager of Raymond and Chefalo, who left Adelaide stranded in Cuba and was arrested on her behalf. Acquired it from the author at The Magic Circle Collectors' Day 2012.
