First edition (of 2, the second 1568) of the translation in vulgar language of the Romberch text published forty years before. It is not a litera translation, as it has been adapted to the Italian language, and keeps the woodcuts from the Romberch.
The book introduces the concept of "loci" (locations) and of the association of images to the objects to remember, and their association to the places. It is indicated a method to memorize playing cards (in a card game) and what may be considered as a trick in recalling cards already played.
The book has been bound in 2015 in leather. Current copies retail for about $2,000. This copy has some ancient ink mark on the spine and library stamps.
