Marco's Comments:
From the Milbourne Christopher auction @ Martinka. Lot 58. MCL 281. First edition of the "Magie Blanche", with the famous Pinetti woodcut. This edition is signed by Decremps in the last leaf, but the leaf itsels is torn, leaving the signature almost intact. Perhaps there was a dedication which has been removed. The covers are detached and the book should be restored. The book has some notes by M. Christopher. NOTE: 11 MAY 2014: the book has been re-bound in leather by J. S. Wilson of Cambridge in April 2014. The old boards have been removed and new, tight boards applied. I've copied the Christopher's notes on the new endpapers. This copy is one of the original copies sold by Decremps himself: it contains a word written in invisible ink and Decremps' signature.
