Later (second?) edition of the Cremer's title (see "Reviews" for some history) published in Edinburgh. The book is in excellent condition for its age, with no foxing but just some shelfwear. Description should read: Edinburgh: John Grant, [n.d., ca 1890s]. 8vo, (9), 12-333, (2)pp, numerous engravings. Orig. orange cloth decoratively stamped in black & gilt, light wear to extremities, otherwise very good. Early edition, apparently written by Wiljalba Frikell. Toole Stott, Bibl. of English Conjuring, 195 cites only a London imprint with a catalogue of advertisements at the back.
