From Jay Marshall's 3rd auction, lot 211. This is an original copy Bland's first catalogue, boards rubbed and worn as extremities as expected, one page clipped, otherwise good condition. Scarce. Several leaves in this elaborate catalog are printed in two colors. Bland was one of the major dealers of magic apparatus and one of his customers was Prof. Hoffmann, which explains some of this apparatus in "Modern Magic". Of Bland, I have a table which is before the publication of this catalogue (my table is about 1860) and I acquired the catalogue to check for the advertisement and price for the table. A similar table was for sale for £15 15s, which corresponds to more than £1,600. The catalog sold for $424 on 26 April 2014 at the Potter & Potter auction.
