Marco's Comments:
A book on "medical curiosities" of times past. An interesting subject not strictly related to magic, but with "performers" from the same arena as magicians.
The book is very well written and doesn't mention magicians, other than, in the last chapter, Waldo and Mac Norton as frog swallowers. The research into it has been amazing and the good thing is that every chapter (dealing with a specific anomaly) concludes with a medical analysis of the cases, which somewhat removes the mystical aura around these subjects.
Not a book to read with a meal, though!
