Apparently, this story of the art of magic has some mistakes here and there but is, at the end of the day, a good book, with many nice pictures and lot of information, some of which unknown to the casual reader or to the more experienced one. See note 47 pag. 194.
Interesting book, erudite and comprehensive. It has some minor errors, like spelling of names, wrong dates (The Magic Circle was founded in 1905, not 1906) and some simplifications, but this does not detract from the importance of the book in the Italian and international panorama of magical literature. It has some interesting facts which were new to me.
