A most unusual book. It is definitely the reprint of some old book, which lifted tricks and illustrations from Hoffmann, etc. It doesn't have any information about date, author, publisher, etc. Maybe the relevant pages have been lost (I doubt it). I would date it in the early 1940s. A copy is currently for sale at an antiquarian.
